What is it? And Why?

I am autistic - my brain works like a sprawling network of vines, building up my reality one thread at a time. It feels like everything has been asleep for decades, but the sleeping beauty still breathes within.

I put part of my soul into every piece I create. It's genesis of a new piece of reality. I'm giving birth to a living organism, and I hope my "children" can find their place in society.

There is always a deeper meaning to what I make. I'm trying to describe an aspect of self, the way the universe works, what reality looks like. Sometimes my artwork is conveying the vision of a character, thereby giving that entity a place to reside in our world.

If you consider the universe to be imbued with consciousness in every fiber of its plasma, then having a physical representation of nonmaterial aspects of said universe can help us identify with it. I know this sounds "woo," but the point is that the artworks offer tomes which cannot easily be expressed in language alone. -TK
